Ronald Hamner (1917-1994) spent many years in London as a professional composer and arranger before coming to Brisbane, Queensland in 1975. He has published hundreds of arrangements and compositions for orchestra, brass band and concert band. Many of these, written for an educational purpose, are currently in use. Ronald Hamner is best known in Australia as the composer of the long running radio programme Blue Hills.
