Program Notes

Commissioned by the West Forsyth High School Band (Jim Kirkpatrick & Phil Spencer, directors) and a consortium of North Carolina high school band programs, Bounce was written to feature the talents of NYC jazz trumpeter (and NC native) Mike Sailors. The original version for trumpet and wind ensemble received its world premiere at the NC Music Educator's In-Service Conference in Winston-Salem in November 2014.
