Waltz?
Waltz?
Paulson, John
Waltz? is a fantasy about the character Laura in the Tennessee Williams play, 'The Glass Menagerie.' Laura is a young woman with one leg in a brace that hampers her walk slightly. When a gentleman caller comes to dinner, her dream of companionship seems possible. But when nothing comes of the evening, Laura is left with her fragile illusions as she imagines what it might have been like to dance with the gentleman caller. The music is simultaneously awkward and elegant, exuberant and sad.
